I thought the Jaguar was phased out by the RAF. Was this decision reversed?

No, the Jaguar is no longer in use by the RAF. This is one operated by
Kinetic (spelt - QinetiQ) and owned by the MOD. It is used for testing and
evaluating various kit for eventual military use.

Well that explains it then ;) Was going to ask about that!

Good Pics mate - Are you near/on a training area or bimbing range
then??

Guessing so as some of those Tornadoes have blue practice bombs
loaded.

No, not really. The Tornados will often fly hundreds of miles to their
targets (refuelling on the way) to practice their wartime role. These GR4s
were from RAF Marham but Scottish examples will also fly through on
occasions and they are many miles from home. They also 'target' power
stations, bridges and even houses in the area though without dropping the
stores of course.

Great selling point for the new homeowner - only bombed a few hundred times!
